A resort and waterpark concept setting visitor facilities along a lake edge with boardwalk planting and family recreation zones.
Actventure is planned as the Sunshine Coast's first major integrated waterpark and resort, on the Steve Irwin Way tourism corridor. The wave pool is designed as the largest in the southern hemisphere, with a family waterpark, luxury villas and multi-storey resort buildings, restaurants and bars overlooking the lagoon.
The landscape framework threads a lush sub-tropical planting palette between the recreation zones and the accommodation, with boardwalks and shaded arrival courts sitting off a working lake and wave-pool edge. Meeting and conference space, gymnasium and spa facilities, tennis and basketball courts, a bouncing pad, tennis pavilion, cafés, a lounge pool with shade and BBQ / kitchen / fire-pit terraces are pulled together around that landscape spine.
