Project

Waterfront public realm works at Mooloolaba Marina with lawn, shade, planting and picnic settings framing the harbour edge.

Mooloolaba Marina sits at one of the Sunshine Coast's busiest visitor edges — a working boat harbour that also has to hold up as a family picnic ground, coastal walkway and marketing image for the town.

The landscape works keep it deliberately simple: an open lawn stitched into the promenade, mature figs and pandanus for shade, and a low planted edge that softens the change from paving to water without blocking the view.

Scope

  • Waterfront public realm and lawn layout
  • Shade tree and pandanus edge planting
  • Picnic setting and pedestrian circulation

Design elements

  • Open harbour-front lawn
